Can't play AVI using Ideo5 Codec

I'm trying to view AVI files that were created in Pico2000 for my
security cameras. Media Player Classic and the DIVX Plaet can run
them. Everytime I try to use WMP 11, it says that

"Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file.
For additional assistance, click Web Help."

I verified the codec with GSpot and WMP11 states in the lower left
"Codec Aquired", but still can't play it. I have all the latest
patches and updates from Microsoft, any ideas?

No major issue, just curious.

Thanks,

Brian

So the video is encoded with the Indeo5 codec? Is this Windows XP or
Vista? For XP, it looks like you need to download the Ligos Indeo Codec:

Looks like it worked, but the codec was installed before according to
Gspot. Maybe it was corrupted, ty for your help. The OS is XP Pro SP3.

Thanks again,

Brian
