Does the browser display an error message or just simply not render
the page ? What security software do you use on the PC ? It's a good
idea to have more than a single browser. This way you can verify if an
issue is browser related. I use IE and also Opera 10.5 and Google
Chrome. There are others - Apple Safari and Mozilla Firefox. If you
are using IE (Version
have you tried browsing with the minimal form
of IE - No add ons ?
The first thing to check/verify is that Windows is not infected. The days
of just using AV/Firewall isn't enough anymore. There are so many types
of infectors these days so you have to have a "Cocktail" of protection.
You need a real time Anti-Malware agent like Windows Defender. I'd
also run Malwarebytes and the SuperAntispyware online scan.
If your browser has been Hijacked you'd see an unwanted site and
not just a blank screen or inability to load a specific page.
Sometimes a browser will fail to work if a Proxy has been setup but
isn't actually in place and working.
Really too many variables to give you a focused answer.
