Hi can someone please help?

My friend cant download files using IE8 and she doesn't have any other
browser installed.

Does anyone have any suggestions to resolve this issue?

Thanks for your help.

Has she tried emptying the IE Temp files?

Yes I tried that.

Is it a case of going to Tools - Internet Options - General - Browsing
History - Delete?

No.

It's a case of doing Windows Explorer - right click on C: - Properties-Disk
Clean up and checking both Temporary Internet Files and Temporary files

Hi,
1. Start Internet Explorer without add-ons by right-clicking the IE icon on
the desktop. Choose Start without add-ons.
or
from Start> Programs> Accessories> System tools> Internet Explorer (no
add-ons)
If the problem goes away, you have an incompatible browser add-on installed.

For troubleshooting information see:
IEBlog Troubleshooting and Internet Explorer’s (No Add-ons) Mode:
http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2006/07/25/678113.aspx

2. See if a third-party program is causing the problem. A likely candidate
would be a download manager, firewall or security suite.

Regarding Download managers: Is Download Accelerator Plus / SpeedBit Video
Downloader installed?
