Can't add to playlist while playing another playlist! Why?

In Windows Media Player 11, I could listen to a playlist and edit a different
playlist at the same time. But with Windows Media Player 12 I can add or
edit only playlists that I open. Why don't they put the edit back in version
12 that we had in version 11?

First, make sure that you're in Library mode and not Now Playing mode.
While a playlist is playing, open the playlist that you want to edit in
WMP's center pane. The playlist in the center pane can be edited while
the other playlist is playing.
