My laptop shows blue screen with following message when load into windows xp
even safe mode does well
***STOP: 0x00000024 (0x001902FE,0xF78CE380,0xF78CE07C,0x8A829805
It was first appear to be infected by virus, then anti virus started to work
but the notice kept showing up. So I restarted the laptop, then blue screen
start to appear.
Is there anyway the laptop can be rocovered from.
If not is there anyway the data inside the harddisk can be resotred or
extracted to other external harddisk?
Many thanks

Determin the make of HD then visit that makers site and download / create
the bootable floppy or cd testing utility
If the drive has failed there are data recovery specialists, on basis of no
recovery no fee, expect to pay plenty for recovery

Boot from the XP CD - bypass option to use the Recovery Console - as setup
continues , it will indicate it has found a Windows installation and offer
the option to perform a repair - select Yes. The repair is actually an
upgrade and should preserve data and settings. Note: If setup does not
indicate it has found a Windows installation, cancel setup - continuing will
result in a "clean" install and all data will be lost - professional help
maybe be required to save your data.
