BioCurious Hacker Space for BioTech

Robert Heiny

Research Scientist of Learning and Education
Flight Instructor
BioCurious is a non-profit hacker space for biotech citizen scientists, hobbyists, activists, and students. It consists of a complete working laboratory and technical library. It provides inexpensive access for entrepreneurs to equipment, material, and co-working space as well as a training center for biotechniques. It is located in Sunnyvale, CA.

This appears to offer a useful middle step for entrepreneurs to test their engineered genes and other biology based engineering samples without corporate types looking over their shoulder. It is to engineered biology what garages were to earliest personal computer developers.

Wow! Yes? Do you see it providing a service people will use?
