By getting a faster service from your current or another ISP.

Try a test like this, and see whether your Internet service is
living up to its claims.

http://www.speedtest.net/

Ideally, you want a speed testing web site, which is "close" to your
location, to eliminate propagation issues over long distances. There
may be other web sites like that one, and perhaps they're closer to you.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BBC_iPlayer

"The demands of the iPlayer has met with some concern and criticism
from UK ISPs due to the additional bandwidth the service will require.
Several ISPs, notably Tiscali, have called on the BBC to partially
fund network upgrades to cope with iPlayer traffic. The BBC responded
by saying that the iPlayer was driving demand for broadband subscriptions."

Maybe the ISPs are slowing down access to BBC on purpose ?

Many thanks or your explanation
My Download speed is only 0.75Mb/s and the Upload speed is 0.24 Mb/s
I live in the country and the nearest exchange is 3 miles away
In the meantime I will try downloading the programme I want to see
