back / forward button improvement

I've had another proposal on this topic here some 2 years ago, with no
success.

Anyway, here's my current thought: the unified back / fwd list, as it
is today in IE, FFox and other browsers, should have expand / collapse
possibilities like a standard tree view. The list pages that have more
than one child in the navigation tree should feature an expansion mark
(+), clicking on it would expand the page one level. These child pages
would then obviously also have the usual expand / collapse
possibilities.
For details on the nav tree (which OTOH is a fairly intuitive concept)
see

http://intelnav.50webs.com/improve.htm

It would be relatively easy to code provided a good tree viewer is
available, which I don't think is a problem. And very good from the
user's perspective IMO.
