Alias, you ain't a Linux geek if you use a GUI and a mouse instead of a
CLI. I thought the whole purpose was to use some jargon that is
deliberately contrived simply to make it appear different to Windows,
which many hard-core Linux developers openly despise. You ain't one are
you, trolling on here?

Yes - by obtaining the ROOT password, which is COMPLETELY different from
inserting malware and viruses into an OS.
You really do need to read up on computing....

What a load of RUBBISH.
Linux has a far more user-friendly GUI than Windows....which you would know
if you'd actually USED it...

You're missing the point, again. Windows is used by dummies who like
the point mouse, click it's easy mentality. Whereas the Linux user,
being further up the food chain, frowns on such base behaviour and has
to write obscure text at the command prompt to achieve the same thing.

Nope - why would you think that? Most Linux users do NOT use "command
prompt" these days - why would they?

Windows has its usefulness. Gaming, for example. I don't know any "Linux
Geeks". I've met a few over the years and see their postings on Usenet
and the web but all the people I know that use Linux used to use Windows
and not for computer related purposes but to do the work or play they
did with Windows. I only know three who use a terminal and that includes
an engineer friend of mine and myself. All the rest just point and
click. Windows has a terminal and few use it either except for Windows
geeks ;-)

He's years behind the times. Maybe he got stuck in Windows' CMD.

I guess so, seeing as how the world runs on it.
Oops!

Gaming, for example.

Yawn.

And that never happens with Windows servers huh?

Those are all components of Windows as well....except root is called
administrator.

What's the point ? Prestige for one. To be the first to write a
successful virus/worm/trojan for Linux....

I guess Gordon was right...you don't have a clue.
