Hi Rainald,

I'm sure you've already tried but this link contains lots of words about
the patch but tells us nothing:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/980729

I'm continually astonished at how Microsoft can be so poor at explaining
a simple patch in plain English.

Interesting!
Besides ON2007 I have been using the ON2010 TP side by side since last
July.
Until this midweek ON2010 was taking over the command on "common"
actions, i.e. starting ON from the icon in the TaskTray, printing to ON,
screen-clippings. This was most welcome as ON2010 with its dialog for
the destination is far more comfortable.

Now the sitaution has changed:
Regardless of which ON-printer I select, the result is always placed in
"unfiled notes" of ON2007.
The same with screen-clippings.
And the ON icon launches 2007.

Appreciated John. The sooner the better.

Most shareware sites do better than the self-evident statement:

"Microsoft has released an update for Microsoft Office OneNote 2007."

plus some generic links.

I go to those KBs to learn something I don't already know.

OneNote Printer (Send to OneNote) disappeared after update

THe send to onenote printer driver disappears and cannot be restored with a repair, nor added via a generic printer driver. Please help.

I have the same problem too. I put my computer on standby before bed on April 14, woke up the next morning to realize that the Send to OneNote Printer was gone.

Computer automatically installed this OneNote update (without my consent) and now I can no longer send things to OneNote. Obviously, it has had a major impact on my work/productivity.

Anyone in the same boat and know of a solution? Thanks.

You must have Windows set to download and install important updates
automatically so Windows has done what it has been instructed to do.

Possible Solution

I just figured out how to bring it back.

Go to Printer -> Add Printer -> Use Existing Port -> Send to OneNote -> then add some random printer.

Next, right click on the new printer to Properties, go to Advanced Tab -> click Printer Processor (bottom) -> change to OneNotePrint2007. Also on this menu, make sure Driver is set to Send to OneNote.
