Connect The DotsA LEARNERS’ VIEW OF LEARNING is of choices on the shortest and fastest path to learning, the oxygen of social life. Learning on this path occurs as learners choose which social actions to take in order to connect two dots that solve (answer) one or more of five generic problems (questions). The path consists of the probabilities of choices that people will make while learning. Choices occur when learners make selections of social actions from among 15 sets of options of physical sensations, social problems, social norms, and social values. To the extent that learners learn to solve problems, they affect the distribution of the life chances of learners and the organization of society. A learners’ path serves for teachers as a database to increase instructional efficiency as do large businesses and organizations use “big data” to increase their operational efficiency.
