August 29 – 31, 2012 · Sheraton San Diego · San Diego, CA

In 2012, The Linux Foundation will introduce a new annual technical conference, CloudOpen, designed to provide a collaboration and education space to advance the open cloud. CloudOpen is a conference celebrating and exploring the open source projects, technologies and companies who make up the cloud. It’s built on a belief that open works: for users, for industry and for technology. CloudOpen brings together the open source projects, products and companies that are driving the cloud and big data ecosystems today, along with best practices from the world of traditional open source. This conference is about the future of computing and how users should ensure that their cloud solutions — technologies, data, and APIs — are truly open.

Who Should Attend:

Software Developers deplying and developing open cloud solutions. ƒƒ

IT ops professionals/IT architects responsible for deploying cloud solutions ƒƒ

CIOs/CTOs/Directors of Engineering ƒƒ

VPs of technology ƒƒ

Storage and network managers

Tux Reports began as a means for my daughters and I to share our enjoyment of Linux. Once they became teenagers, they abandoned Linux. Once they became college students, they returned.

The Tux Reports Network was an extension of our sharing our enjoyment of different technology topics, later expanding into politics, movies, music groups, and fan sites for books and entertainers. The sites have been scattered for years – opening and closing based on their interests.

I started bringing all of these sites together. The technology sites are being linked to Technology Questions so that the user base is common, and the activity stream of the network is seen all in one place.

At the network’s height, we would have 25,000 daily visitors on the network scattered over 100 sites. Who knew baby tux could be so popular?

By bringing all of the sites together, we can provide our visitors with greater variety – and share our enjoyment.
