Yes, the site forums are now the Index. Discussions stopped years ago and now we'll need to work hard to restore the site.

Yes, we'll update the forums to the latest Linux distributions.

Feel free to make suggestions.

I'm wondering a bit whether these fora can really be popular. Many distributions have very popular fora of their own and the chance of getting help there is much bigger. Also IRC works well for getting help.

I think it should be rethought a bit, because maybe some combination of links to other places to get help in addition to some other discussion section would be more interesting.

Also on restoring the site, I guess what's mainly needed is news & articles. I guess it was difficult to keep this up because you all had other things to do and also other interests. In the past TuxReports did have rather valueable articles. It would be very interesting to see it return :)

Yes, what you write is true. There are many forums that will help others.

I put the site forums together in the 2003 format and will slowly adjust to my interests.

TRN expanded greatly in the years from 2003 to present. We own over 80 domains but have not done a good job keeping the original site viable. I hope to change this very slowly. I learned from the most popular site on the network to only follow my own interests and not get caught up in fads.

This site will focus on the small distros first because that is my interest. We'll let the other sites worry about their strengths and I'll enjoy rebuilding this one.

Notice, though, I'm busy with work and my dissertation. So the key word is slowly.

As always, great to see you hanging around and keep coming up with great plans to support Linux.
