View Full Version : KDE 3.1 rc2 tar balls
Well, I was about ready to download these and then I looked at the 11-4 versus 11-5 snapshots and saw a huge difference in file sizes for kde-i18n-021104.tar.bz2. There is also a compile script that I was tempted to tinker with .. but alas. .. it is getting to late.
Plane flight was uneventful. While I was searched on Sunday, I passed right on through this afternoon.

Been somewhere? Was it interesting?
MAN !!!
I have been sooo stressed that I was babbling ... blah blah blah. There is NO clue as to what I was trying to type.
Got home last night after 11pm.
I'll go public with a piece of the latest events and why I was tired.
The mother of EMH and SMH has not been very cooperative. She unilaterally rearranged the girl's schedule and was not allowing them to work on the website in her home. She claims they have better things to do. The girls were coming over rather tired and usually didn't have time to even log into their website. Anyway, matters deteriorated (as you could tell by the lack of reviews). The mother filed papers with Sutter county court. Yesterday was the mediation.
And here is the latest changes to the girl's schedule.
There will be changes to the girl's schedule starting January 2003 - returning it to a similar way it was two years ago. The number of days the girls will be with me has been returned. The girls will be with me every weekend, except the second weekend of each month. They will be alternating between their parents every other holiday. There will be a four week block when the girls are not in school when they will be with me.
The major battle was over this website. The mother remained (and remains) adamant that she was not going to allow the girls to work on it when they were with her. It was time to choose to fight or pick another day to try to calmly discuss it. We left it that she would look into getting the girls machines. I tried to explain that they have machines here that they could take over to their mother's home. But their mother wanted nothing of the sort. Instead, she'll decide whether or not she'll purchase a machine for them.
I'm sorry to everyone who has been faithful to this site. I've done my best to work around an impossible schedule but have not been able to write about any of the distributions and applications I've been using. Between teaching, credential classes, driving 80 hours per month (commute) and trying to work out a parenting schedule, I've been beyond tired. Robbie has been doing a wonderful job and I thank him from the bottom of my heart. Both EMH and SMH are going to be all right. And that is the most important thing.
Sorry to read about the happenings. EMH and SMH do a great job with Linux :!:
My mom always complained about my playing with computers too much. Maybe it's a mom thing.

Thanks for the vote of confidence :-)
There's no need to be sorry, LPH. You're correct - EMH and SMH are far, far more important than a bunch of people who spend their days trawling through Linux websites ;-)
