Silicon is saying (http://software.silicon.com/os/0,39024651,39157103,00.htm): Intel Macs are unlikely to be able to run Windows Vista, according to an Apple engineer speaking on Thursday.
Present versions of Windows use the BIOS, Vista will use Extensible Firmware Interface (EFI) during the boot process. Only 64-bit Vista will support EFI. Putting this together means Apple fans are out of luck for running Windows Vista.
