Just thought I'd post a note to say that I'd noticed that this site has just about died.
I hope all is well with LPH & family.

I noticed that also, This site helped me out several times. If I knew more about Linux I would contrebute more myself instead of asking questions all the time.
I do hope all is well with the family.
I've been busy with other websites. There were over 150,000 visitors since March (based on the logs). Guess that isn't too bad for 4 months of not updating. Sadly this site has never paid for itself while dozens of others of mine are profitable. So, the servers are now paid by www.tabletquestions.com and that is where I put my energies.
However, I have been thinking of ways to make this site useful to new users of Linux. Let me know if you have any ideas or would like to help.

Glad to see a little activity in here.
So just how many sites do you run, LPH?
Dave
There are 33 sites and impossible to update with a dial up connection - which I'm back on because Covad decided to slam my Yahoo DSL connection. Neither company is taking responsibility and passing the buck. After 4 days of complaining, Yahoo canceled my account saying that I had switched to Covad and also needed to pay a $200 fee. Covad said that I had given authorization and it wasn't their fault but Earthlink's fault. Grr.
Anyway, SBC Yahoo says that they've put in a new work order and I'll be reconnected by August 9. So, I've been on dialup from July 20, the day Covad slammed my connection. It'll be interesting to see what happens with the $200 bill. Will it be removed? Ha!
Wow, 33 sites, thats a lot of work.
I believe SBC has a "lock" feature so that they'll contact you before makeing any changes to your account, might be worth checking out.
If you have other DSL options, you can probably get them to drop the $200 by threatening to go with another provider.
