I started an outline for the guide and have decided to publish the first part of it tonight or tomorrow. Before publishing it, though, I'd like some feedback.

Are there any topics you might add &/or delete?
Are there special topics you would like to see expanded or emphasized?

Finally, if this is completed and goes well then I would like to open this document up as a wiki so that others from this great community may add to it. I have the domain setup for the project and just need to activate it -- if all goes well

Just a few questions at the top of my head:

1. Will there be a section of howto for wireless connection? With encryption? (I know it's not great but...)

2. How to set up printer for various applications that requires it in order to print such as Mozilla browser?

3. Dealing with external devices via Firewire or USB?

4. How to setup firewall or recommend an apps with silimilar in functionality and ease as Zone Alarm under Windows? It would be of great help to newbie like me with DSL/Cable high speed connection.
