I use synaptic on my Libranet systems. It makes maintaining the systems very easy. However, I've been curious if there should be another field available for .deb packages. It's the changelog information. Sometimes, I'm not sure if it is best to update a package. Maybe there are bug fixes and it is worthwhile. Maybe there are feature enhancements. Maybe there is simply a language update and that is not w;orthwhile for my machines. It would be great to look at synaptic and see the changelog. Yes, it's possible to find this information by going to the homepage of the software application. However, it would be more convenient (the use of a computer, right?) to have the information on the screen.
