View Full Version : Mepis Linux
I've emailed for more information because this site is too confusing for me. It states there is a live-cd but then there are two iso images for download.

Mepis is an excellent new distro with a lot of promise. You might as well wait until the end of the month or so for the latest version... You will need both iso files, the second being additional software. The live cd is also the installation cd, very well done. Do a search on www.pclinuxonline.com good info. The only reason I did not stick with the most recent version is that it does not support a wheel mouse, which I cannot live without! :)
As you might have noticed on on our wiki ... we link to the three stories on PCLO. I should have updated this forum post to say that bit. .. Uhm .. that is sarcasm because many people only go to the index page of the wiki and only about 50 people or so have gone into it. So, all sarcasm aside ...
Mepis has it's own page in the The Linux Information Center (http://www.tuxreports.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=phpWiki&file=index&pagename=Mepis), the Wiki for Tux Reports.
If anyone would like to add information to it then by all means ... go for it. That is why it is on the site !
Oh wait a second, I did link to it in the first post. My bad.
