I have been a loyal Slackware user for years, so configuring the system via VI and text files is just fine with me. But compiling everything from scratch gets annoying really fast .. especially when it comes to Gimp or Gnome2 :D So I have chosen to use redhat 9, last time I used redhat was back in the day of 5.2, I have to admit that the distro has come a long way since then.

I currently have redhat 9 w/ Ximian 2 installed atm. I am very happy with it, have the stability and power of linux, with real ease of configuration.

For my workstation it works the best for me.

Glad you are happy with redhat. How long have you been using GIMP? Would you consider yourself to be an artist with it or are you just tinkering with it?

Welcome to Tux Reports :)

I have been using Gimp for the past 2 years off and on, I have a gallery of stuff @ http://n3g0tive.deviantart.com/thumbnails. Most of them are old image manipulations, but I had fun with them :)

Do you use Gimp at all LPH ?

Thanks for the welcome LPH :)

I try to use gimp but I'm not very good with it. The lack of good fonts is my biggest complaint. For example, the banner at the top left has plenty of jagged edges, which I hate !

Could try blurring the edges, if this makes you feel better ... I didn't notice there were jagged edges until you mentioned it :)
