I have not been able to update. Here are the steps I have tried:
1 installed bittorrent (bittorrent-3.2.1b-29565u90_1cl.noarch.rpm)
2 downloaded cl9upd1-beta2.torrent (51.7 kb!)
3 tried to open cl9upd1-beta2.torrent with bittorrent- result: "could not find bittorrent executable"
4
tried to use the run command - result: "could not run the specified command
Any help?
Cheers!

It seems that the program is not within your path. Maybe in /usr/local/bin
Try this,
type rpm -qlp bittorrent |grep bin
that should tell you where the executable is located.

Not sure this is such a cool idea. NinerFan helps you here and then you say go to another site for a follow up. Oh well. Maybe you could at least give the thread so that we could follow along.
:(
Thank you for the Conectiva Forum, Penguin Flight Director and thank you NinerFan for your response!
I found that Mozilla(or your browser) must be set up to open (not save) torrent extension files in order to start the bittorrent download process. In Mozilla PREFERENCES then HELPER APLICATIONS then NEW. In MIME TYPES put in application/x-bittorrent, in DESCRIPTION put in bit torrent files, in EXTENSION put in torrent. Select new helper to open not save. Click OK and restart browser.
(I was able to download the right update but when I "apt-cdrom add" Conectiva unmounts the CDrom with update ISO CD but then cannot remount it. I tried this on two computers with the same result. I hope Conectiva continues to offer regular downloads of updates in addition to bittorrent . . .)
Also . . .
Realplayer for Connectiva!
It works great!
1 go to rpmfind.net
2 search realplayer
3 download RealPlayer-8.0-i386.rpm
Cheers!
