Is it my imagination or has it been rough on webmasters lately?

Newsforge, SourceForge seem to be out right now. PCLinuxOnline and this site have bounced up and down all week. Lycoris.org went down for awhile too.

Dudes, it must be rough. Are all you guys using the same providers?

Yep. Rough on the readers too :D

Good thing I don't have anything better to do with my time than to go from site to site.

At least these outages aren't anything like what happened to Neowin, in which M$ contacted the ISP and the plug was pulled. Microsoft said it was a mistake but still -- it was quite a draconian measure.

What a bunch of penguin droppings ! MS should be ripped for not going directly to the webmasters.

Since this is the first time posting here -- how many people work on this site?

Penguins don't work :)

Myself, Bird, EMH, and robbie_n are behind the scenes. Then we have our regulars who contribute with their posts and thoughts. In fact, I was thinking about how many visits we've had since opening in Jan 2000 and the sad fact that many penguins have come and gone ... guess we need penguin glue (is that free food?)

I've been trying to get to the mozillaquest site for two days to read Torvalds' comments on the SCO - IBM fiasco. So far, nothing but browser timeouts.

It's either been REALLY busy, or somebody didn't like what Linus had to say.

Found that PCLinuxOnline had an article reporting mozillaquest was having problems with their web server.

I was finally able to read the MQ articles by doing a Google search for article keywords, then reading the cached pages. Give that a try!
