I've been using LindowsOS over the weekend and have run into a few issues with CNR. The first was a constant beeping of the speakers when the machine was installing php4. It turned out that the install failed. I removed the folder /.los-apt-get and this seemed to correct it. Next, downloads started to install but never completed with a message that said they were done. Instead, they just hang at 100% complete. The CNR status says In Progress. I've found that I can configure CNR to not resume pending CNRs when I exit and restart it. This clears the application. However, it isn't a good solution.

I'll keep fiddling but for now LindowsOS seems to be fine.

OK, apt-get check asked for dpkg --confgure -a to be run. Afterwards I ran apt-get update. Unfortunately, I'm out of time and need to get to work. CNR seems to be down at the moment and I cannot find out if this fixed the hanging problem.

Of course, immediately after publishing this then CNR returns

Forgot to say that I believe the problem was the need to run the Apache script. This script was run, mysql modules loaded and then I was able to download chimera and the CNR now runs to completion. Apparently CNR didn't provide the information for running this script after downloading Apache.

I did a click and run of this Aisle:

http://www.lindows.com/lindows_products_aisle.php?aisleid=2528

It installed and ran great all but 6 of these 200 programs!

That's pretty darn amazing!!!
