Welcome to the CollegeLinux forums.

CollegeLinux is a new, stand-alone operating system based on Slackware. The aim of this experimental Linux distribution is to provide to RKC students and to the student population at large an operating system which is easy to install and use and which provides an alternative to the traditional commercial operating systems ;)

This forum is designed for anyone interested in this distributions. Please follow all of the rules for the Tux Reports Forums and maintain friendliness and professionalism.

Being a relative newbie to Linux, I can only applaud the College Linux team for providing me with a fully functioning system that does everything that I need it to do with very minimal tweaking. It looks good, sounds good, gives me java and flash and a solid base to grow from.

The new version coming soon will allow me to do even more. Kudos for a job well done. I look forward to your future efforts.
