EMH, Biride and I outlined the next usability report. Since we have Xandros running on five machines then we are starting to feel comfortable writing about the usability. We are trying to include all of the requests made from the Red Hat report and notes taken in the forums.

As you may recall, we took a poll to determine the next OS to review. We were in the middle of a Lycoris review but build 67 and 68 have been disasters on the i810 chipset systems. We'll wait for this to be fixed. We also were provided with a download ID for LindowsOS 3.0 but couldn't get it downloaded because the Mozilla browser just kept giving us circular logic. This leaves the number three winner in the poll, Xandros.

If you have any requests prior to our publishing this report then please post in this thread.

Thanks !

ROFL! The download system has been custom-built for Internet Explorer, no doubt

You might want to turn off the popup window blocker - the download URL comes up in a popup window, I seem to recall.

I voted early (& often..but only one per day) for a review of Xandros before I figured out what this site was all about.

I've made no secret abouit my feelings about Xandros... I find it to be a very good OS.

I'm not one that needs the "latest & greatest" in an OS & Xandros fills my needs quite well.
I would like to see what you folks think about it, if you are so incllined.

My vote= Xandros.

I'd like to see a review of Xandros as well. I'd love to see a comparison with Lindows, as well, as they're both quite similar in some respects.

Also, it would be interesting to see how Xandros/KDE and Lycoris/KDE compare :-)

There is one issue that I haven't resolved. I'll have to contact Xandros Tech Support about it.

I am easily able to create a connection to the internet. However, I do not see an obvious way to remove one of my connections. Any thoughts?

Go to "Control Center" > Network > Internet Connection
Log in as Admin
Highlight connection
Press the "delete" button at the bottom.
