Yes, the site was down. It is now backonline. Sorry that it wasn't fixed earlier but things got in the way.

SO, you gonna tell us what happened ? ;o)

Been trying the site for days now, I even posted a note last night over at Xandros asking you what was up.

Actually, I did. Lots.

You've had me really worried, LPH. I did something similar to Davepet over at the Lycoris Community Site.

Hmmm... with the exception of Kraig and the girls, that seems to account for all of the usual suspects...

Here is a quick recap of the events.

(1) Credit Card number was stolen.
(2) Credit Card was canceled.
(3) Forgot this hosting was done with the said Credit Card.
(4) It starts to rain in CA.
(5) LPH stays in LA because traffic in the rain is CRAZY.
(6) LPH calls hosting company but they can only help 9-5.
(7) LPH finally gets ahold of company and they restore site.

Phew.

Another example of credit card fraud ... credit card fraud and ID theft are major problems in this country (http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2003/01/22/national/main537454.shtml).

Hopefully you won't experience any long-term negative consequences, LPH.

>>Hopefully you haven't experienced any long-term negative consequences, LPH.<<

Well, it hasen't been LONG enough to know about LONG term consequenses ;o)

My wife had her CC stolen a few years back ( actually 2 or3, PLUS her ATM card), & didn't discover it until several days after the fact. Although it was a pain to step through all the hoops, there was NO finacial impact ( for US, several merchants got stuck, because they didn't properly ID the card user).

Still, it's a PITA when it happens, hope it all works out, LPH

LOL. Thanks, Davepet. Late nights and normal thinking patterns don't quite go together, I'm afraid. Changed it to future tense.

Yeah, sure, go back in & make it look right, & now I have to justify MY comments ;o)

Seriously, I just hope that Layne is able to get everthing squared away without too much difficulty... Ive been through it & it isn't fun.
