I saw on PCLinuxOnline a link to a translation of the PC World article announcing Xandros Desktop OS 1.0 as Product of the year 2002.

I have been a bit slow out of the gate to try xandros, but after just a short time with it, and win4lin, and codeweavers, I would say that the award is well deserved.

It may not be 'bleading edge up-to date' but it is certainly the most userfreindly, out of the box (everything works) linux distro I have ever run to date.

The only way I can see them make this any easier, is if the cd jumped into the tray itself, and the mouse clicked on 'install' by itself.

Xandros is among the few linux distro's that truely deserve paid support. IMHO.

davepet or gabbman, have either of you had trouble getting to the Forum today? I had no problems earlier in the day and have been getting "timed out" messages late this pm.

Thanks, I was able to log in later in the day so it must have been a "system problem or maintainence" issue. 8)
