So if i get this right, i need download Konstruct and it will take care of the rest, i am having nothing by trouble installing KDE3.1 It's been compiling literally all day..no joke, and now i have to download some library set..and i do that, and it doesn't see that i did, this bugs me so much. if anyone is having better luck, please enlighten me on how you simplified your life =D)

Konstruct is probably the easiest way of compiling KDE. Most people wait for a distro to release it, however - it's certainly less painful ;-)

Good luck with it 8-)

Konstruct does seem like the easiest..but it's saying i need to download this library..LDAP or something of the sort, and now it's returning errors...that's where i'm stuck...

What distro are you trying to build it on? What's the exact error message?

This is on SuSE 8.1, this is the error message, from a few lines back...

There are binary packages for SuSE here (http://download.kde.org/binarydownload.html?url=/stable/3.1/SuSE/ix86/8.1/).

What do you get if you run:
rpm -q openldap
