Today has been a pain in the rear.

Server DNS
I thought the form was filled out to transfer the domain from bulkregister to register.com. However, I had not received a confirmation email. Technical support verified that the form was sent and the support agent sent the email again. He said it would take up to 24 hours before I receive the confirmation email. Once I reply and the domain name is transfered to register.com then I can manage the domain's dns.

CSS
The style sheets for the theme used on this site were a little messy. I spent a few moments and cleaned them up so that Verdana, Arial, Sans Serif were used through out the style sheet.

Spelling Errors
Maybe you noticed some of them on the site. I fixed some of the errors that I ran across. Let me know if you find any more. I also added in some definitions into the language files so that the stats didn't show _UNKNOWN.

Journals
Rather than continuing to write the journal in phpBB2, I have assigned a subdomain to the tuxreports.com domain. This will allow greater freedom in the html. I've chosen to install http://www.movabletype.org/ and hopefully be able to update it daily.

Movies
I watched The Perfect Storm tonight. While parts were nerve-racking there were other parts that just weren't realistic. I totally missed the ending. For some reason the movie just didn't sit well with me.

Bluefish
Yes, I'm working on completing another At-A-Glance. I'm picking through the features of Bluefish-gtk2-0.8. Actually, I spent most of my time reading about tidy. I found that if I write the story in Composer, save the file, run tidy, and then bring it into Bluefish then I'm able to have some nice code. Hopefully the AAG will be done tomorrow night.

Knob
I saw the announcement on freshmeat [ http://freshmeat.net/releases/107357/ ] and thought that it looked interesting. Knob is a simple volume control applet for KDE. It looks like a volume knob and controls the master volume of a sound card. The tar.gz file was over 1 MB. Unfortunately it didn't compile on my Xandros box. I was too lazy to try the Mandrake, Red Hat, Lycoris, Yoper, or SuSE boxes. Maybe tomorrow.

Vacation
Birdie goes to the doctor tomorrow. They will be checking her throat. She is very scared. I don't blame her. They may want to look at the vocal cords. After the appointment, I suspect that sleep will set in for the day. My brother arrives from AZ tomorrow night around midnight. We'll then travel to N. CA. My neice emailed today saying hello. That's her quiet way of saying, "Hurry up here dummy!"

We'll be in N. CA from 12-24 until 12-25 .. .. not too long of a vacation. The academic decathlon team needs to meet on the 26th and so I have to return quicly.

Robbie gets to play in Europe for about a month. We wish him joy in his travels.
