I have not been using Linux long, one of the programs I used in MS Windows everyday was a download utility, which intergrated with the browser.

That way if/when I did large downloads and got broken off, I could resume the download again without having to start all over again.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have tried different FTP programs that came with this Distro, (Mandrakes 8.1) they all seem to want user and passwords to logon. And I get errors logging on annoyomos. Yet the browser will get the same file only with no way to resume if broken off.

By default, Prozilla allows four connections to a site and is able to download the file faster as well as restart (if the server allows it).

Where can I find prozilla?

I found a couple yesterday on Tucows Linux, and another somewhere else called FTPeXplorer.
FTP eXplorer said it resumes downloads but the link was dead to download it.

The ones on tucows don't seem to resume broken downloads.
