Several new modules were added or changed.

Shoutbox: This is a beta module and doesn't work when you are in private messages. There may be other places that it doesn't work. It's just something for fun.

Archives: TiX Archives has been on the site for sometime. However, it is not linked into the main page. Archives, on the other hand, was added and linked. It sorts the past news by the month and doesn't take any maintenance. News prior to May 2001 is not in the database. I'm thinking about adding links into that block so that visitors may read news from January 2000 until May 2001. We'll see if I feel like it :-)

Members List: I upgraded this to .723. However, it isn't showing the latest visitors properly.

Penguin Counter: No, it doesn't show the correct numbers. It's based on unique IP numbers. Therefore, it will not show EMH, SMH, and myself as three penguins counts but only one. Also, I didn't figure out how to get the previous year's counts into the database.

Member's Online: I'm not satisfied with this module. I'd like there to be a cleaner table rather than a paragraph at the end, which summarizes the number of visitors. I also fixed the language file. It now says "typical flightless birds" rather than "typical flightless breeds" ...

Private Messages: This is also a newer version. You will notice that the br issue is now fixed. Smilies within the messages are not working. I've posted a question on the postnuke forum. We'll see if there is a response.

Wish List: The comments below each of the articles is worthless. I'd like to be able to edit a comment and not just moderate it. I'd also like to be able to have some of the phpBB2 features included. It might make more sense to remove the comments portion and simply provide a link to phpBB2 ... hmm... interesting thought.

I also fixed the random images block. It sits on the right side.

Netscape 7.01
In terms of applications, the download of Netscape 7.01 was completed on a few machines. All of the plugins were found. Tabs worked. Pop ups were blocked easily. For whatever reason Phoenix still seems faster ... <insert in your reasons> ... and I'll stick with it on this machine. I suppose the number one reason is the fonts look better. They aren't perfect but they are better.

Sylpheed Claws
The development team seems to give us a new release every week. I can't wait to compare Sylpheed to the KMail applications.

KMess: A new release was made available but alas .. not for debian users :-( I tried to compile it on this box but to no avail. It also didn't compile on the default install of redhat 8.

Bluefish: Here is the real disappointment for me. I saw the announcement and couldn't wait to download it. But where is the .deb file? All of the repositories I point to in sources.list only show .72 and not 0.8. Drats. The screenshots on their website look nice but -- hey -- I want it too !
