Although Desktop/LX comes with KDE 2.2.2, we got bored with waiting for Beryl, which will have KDE3. So a while ago Texstar kindly packaged KDE 3.0.2 for us.
You can easily install KDE3 using this easy installation script (http://www.lycoris.org/viewtopic.php?topic=5722&forum=25), which does almost all of the work for you. It downloads and installs the software for you, and even configures most of the new settings itself.
The script is in beta and isn't perfect yet, but it should work for most people without issue.
Note that using this unofficial, unsupported Community contributed software will void your Lycoris Support contract (if any).
