Penguin Counter

I added the counter block today and tried to get the correct numbers into the database. A new table was added to keep track of the count. I tried to just add in the past numbers but it kept being overwritten. Therefore, I modified the php code to add in the previous counts even though I only had the numbers for this year....

Initially I placed the date October 2001 in the from date because that is when PostNuke was installed and started to collect data. However, php-nuke was used prior to pn and we had written our own php code prior to that ... so all of that data is not available. Oh well. I'm probably the only one who cares.

Oh. I should state that the Penguin Counter is collecting IP addresses. Don't worry. I don't sell this information. But you probably should know that the IP is being placed into a database because I do look and sometimes I'll say something about the total numbers. I'm not sure that I've ever disclosed actual IPs though. Can't figure out why I'd ever do such a silly thing... but I could get brain dead one evening .... Maybe I can delete it each month... not sure how that will work.
