View Full Version : Mozilla Tabs
KHD has a cool tip on his blog regarding the use of the scroll-wheel-click on links and tabs.

In Beonex, you must change the preferences to state open in tab rather than window but this is a great tip !
The scroll-wheel click doesn't always close a tab. I've found that if I have checked open tab with ctrl-enter then these tabs are not always closed with the scroll-wheel click.
And in Mozilla 1.2, the page is reloaded when I use the scroll-wheel click :-(
I've also been playing with the Sidebar. This is a feature I usually turn off immediately. However, I wanted to play with the What's Related tab. Alexa is behind the feature. It has this site online since 1/2/02. Hmm.. interesting. They also only show 78 links to it and show very LOW traffic. I wonder how often it is updated?
I noticed under IE the page ranking is a bit different. It shows Tux Reports half way through the bar. I'm only looking at this because KHD told off Doc to stop writing about google rankings :-)
But seriously, I'm curious as to how they are getting this data. If you use link:www.tuxreports.com in google then there are only 66 sites. OK. I'm not that interested in it - because I haven't read the docs on the google site.

This about about the middleclick. On wheelmice, the wheel often acts as the third button.
Also when you have selected a URL/copied a URL to the clipboard and then middleclick (past) inside a browser window, it will load the copied URL.
