Lindows PC's sell out at Tiger Direct

A few days ago in my most recent Michael's Minute, I told you about a $229 LindowsOS computer being sold by TigerDirect and how it had been the #1-selling computer for TigerDirect since it's introduction a couple of weeks ago.

TigerDirect today contacted us and let us know that they have completely sold out of thousands of these machines. They have, therefore, temporarily had to stop taking orders. However, because of the overwhelming reaction they received for this LindowsOS computer, TigerDirect will be coming out with a new, even fuller line of LindowsOS machines very soon.

For the uninitiated, the above was an email addressed to the Lindows Announcements list ;-)

It's good to see Lindows making headway in the OEM market. Interestingly, sales must be brisk all round, as Lycoris recently announced that WalMart sales were vastly exceeding expectations as well.

I think its people buying cheap PC's for christmas. I hope the new Lindows PC will reach tigerdirect before there christmas catalog is released.
