This block was added today - duh - like you knew that because you saw it staring at you when you landed on the index.php page.
It's a nice block but it may not be a permanent fixture on this site. The annoying part is the placement of some of these centerblocks. The number of news and top news items was changed around a bit and it was decided to stick with 5 -- the default. Ten items showing put the block too long.
There is also a nice featured article block that might go well above this one ... hmm... let's think and ponder about it ...
Update: The featured article block is placed there but we'll have to decide if it is a good idea. The bad part is the layout design for the software ... I might move the "description" up to the top and see if that works.
