View Full Version : 2110 out of the last 2968 visitors
It's always interesting to review the number of visitors and their refering website. The log was reset and the results show that of the last 2968 visitors, 2110 visitors came from their own bookmarks. The others came mainly from newsforge and pclinuxonline. Distrowatch also sends a few people each day and there are a few wonderful GNU/Linux websites who also link to us. The number of visitors from KHD's log has also greatly increased (55 in the last day).
We'd like to thank everyone who has linked to us or trusted us by bookmarking our site.
Sadly, Yahoo and some other large sites still don't know we exist :-(
Maybe some day. Maybe not.

Hey, that was me. I was using Konqueror and for some reason I wasn't being logged in ... I think this is because I said no to the cookies. Make sure you don't make that mistake.
:-)

The last time /. linked to a story (set of images), this poor site was crippled. If I remember correctly there were 3000 people on at the same time and then the database went to a crawl.
Besides, the best way to destroy a really bad product is to advertise it

If you're referring to TuxReports, it's not exactly what I have fixed in my mind as a "bad product" 8)

Sorry, it was a long night, sitting in a classroom management class. Let's just say it could be the following:
(1) Chalk it up to silly words.
(2) Well, I'm never satisfied ;-)
(3) What's Tux Reports? I've never heard of it.
(4) Tux Reports is fine today but just wait until tomorrow !
(5) Enough about Tux Reports, let's talk about me.
(6) Tux Reports is like bad breath. It seems to ... well you know.
(7) Tux Reports -- Where Penguins Fly
I opt for #7 unless it there is a link on /. -- then we'll call it -- Tux Reports -- Where you can't get news because the database is down.
