Seems broken in its newest incarnation -- when I try to use download links in either Debian or on the W2K box at work I get temp directory errors. Anyone else seeing this? On the upside, I'm getting excited about Galeon again.

I don't know about Windows 2000, but under Linux there's a bug with the RPM mimetypes that causes a black screen of death when you left-click. It seems RealNetworks pinched .rpm for their RealPlayer a while back, and Mozilla out of the box can't deal with the possibility of two helper apps.
Lycoris managed to fix this with Desktop/LX (as of Beta Build 62) by playing around with the perl scripts that create mimetypes.rdf. Therefore, if this is the problem, it is fixable on other platforms.

I have a AMD K62 500 when I installed Mozzilla's newest version it seemed to hog so many resources that my poor system seems like a modle A ford.
Yet the same version here on my 233 P runs just fine with Linux as the OS. It's really surprizing.

Check the amount of total RAM. I've found 128 MB is really the bare minimum on a GNU/Linux system. I run it on several PII 400 with 64 MB and it is very very slow.

When I said I was running the AMD K62 500 that was with MS Windows OS. I have only 64 mg ram that may have been my problem.
On my Linux box I have 256 mg Ram. And Mozilla seems to be the best browzer I have to work with on Linux at this time. I'm real happy with it.
When I tried the same version on MS Windows, I was very disapointed.

I have a K62-350, with 192 MB RAM.
Mozilla ( in Xandros) is so slow that it is unusable IMHO. I am also disadvantaged by a 28.8 connection ( bad phone lines up here in the boonies).
