OK, Clearly I've lost track of time. Is it November 15th or 16th? Fortunately, GNOME Calendar is able to set me straight ! Phew.

It's saturday evening and I've spent the day with the Academic Decathlon team. There was a scrimmage at University High School. My team (composed of 9 students) stayed up all night cramming for the exams and it showed. Johnny threw up moments before the test, Mindy was bouncing off the front stairs doing jumping jacks, Andy almost missed the test because he fell asleep, and Joel was resting during one of the exams. The scores were equivalent to last year - and this disappointed them. They are really wanting to go to the state competition. They have 11 more weeks until the real deal.

For me, I sat the day trying to write a lesson plan incorporating some of the state standards as well as literacy standards. On the drive home, a design for the Tips and Tricks section popped into my head. Lo and behold, the design is almost exactly like the one from the book titled Leo Laporte's 2003 Technology Almanac. Gesh. Guess he thought of it first :-(

Despite this temporary set back -- I'll move forward with the idea -- and try to give it the Tux Reports flare for being dull.

I tried a new layout for the GNU/Linux User Tip. This is a two column layout in which there is a a byline, title offset with hr, followed by justified text. There is a then a Tip of the Day or Download link provided at the end of the article.

I'll try this with a few articles and see if it is easier to read them.

Guess it would help to provide a link to the article with the "new" layout. Duh.
