Definition: (POC) 1. a The chance (a probability) that something harmful will occur. b In education, a chance that learners will not learn a lesson. c The likelihood that a learner will not obtain a benefit from learning a lesson.

2. Actual results from a lesson are different from planned results.

3. The possibility of losing some or all of the time and other resources invested by learners and teachers in a lesson.
